Trail along the river to the MTB trails at Cochran Shoals. Then, return after a loop or two at dusk. The entire route is off-road. The group will split into different rider levels so no one feels pressed. The trail is multi-use so please be courteous to other users to protect the privilege for all. If wet, the trail is closed. |Specific Saturdays -9/16/17||8:00 AM||Specific Saturday's Only - "Three Gap" see dates listed. Ride starts at 8:00 AM at the Rock Pile. Park along the highway at the intersection of GA 60 and US 19 (The Rock Pile) north of Dahlonega, GA. Drive time is about an hour. This is a very challenging, but beautiful, 33 mile training ride over three gaps - Neal's, Wolfpen & Woody's. There are store stop opportunities along the route. The early season rides will be "No Drop" designed for those who are new to riding in the mountains. Estimated ride time is 3-4 hours. |Sunday 9/17/17||9:00 AM||Sunday - Silk Sheets at 9:00. Park at the Church on the right half of the parking lot, or park across the highway along Church St. We'll follow the painted route for 50 miles at a crisp pace or ride more moderately to the store and reverse for 40 miles. Directions below. Lunch following at Jack's NY Deli, 2 blocks inside 285 at S. Atlanta exit. Silk Sheets Directions: I-285 to I-20W first exit outside the perimeter - Fulton Industrial. Turn left (south) for 8 miles at which point the 4-lane becomes 2 lanes. Continue straight for 4 more miles to the intersection of GA-92 (red light at Texaco station). Turn right at the light. Turn left to park at the Church. Turn right to park along roadside - Church St. The church (next to Texaco) always welcomes cyclist parking. Please use the right side of the parking lot on Sunday mornings. Painted routes of 25, 40, 50 miles. Drive time from Atlanta Cycling-Vinings is 30 minutes.||Intersection of GA 70 and GA 92|

|Duluth - Winter Mon. and Wed||6:00 PM EST||Winter, Standard Time, Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:00 PM November - March meet at the Duluth store to ride to a local neighborhood for a winter training ride averaging 18-19 mph. |Vinings - Winter Tuesdays - Thursdays||4:30 pm EST, Nov- Mar||Winter Tuesdays and Thursdays - During the winter months, Standard Time, meet at the Vinings store on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4:30 for 20 plus miles at winter pace with a few digs and re-groups. We'll follow the painted route on low traffic streets. It's best to have blinking lights front and rear. We will finish just before dark.
